What information does C-POLAR receive when I email it directly?
When a person emails C-POLAR directly, it receives that email address and the information in the message.
The Privacy Policy states that. It states that contact details and messages are used to receive, answer and manage enquiries, on the basis of the company's legitimate interest in responding to people who contact it. It also states that when a visitor's browser requests a page or file, it sends its IP address to the service that receives the request, and that Cloudflare Web Analytics records page views, the referring page, and country and browser information derived from the request.
The Privacy Policy states that no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.

All questionsDoes a successful contact-form submission add the work email address to a mailing list?
Yes.
Every successful contact-form submission also adds the work email address to the mailing list.
The Privacy Policy states that the contact form uses Mailchimp's subscribe endpoint, that Mailchimp receives the submission and the sender's IP address when the form is submitted, and that it adds the sender's work email address to a C-POLAR mailing list. It states that the marketing box and the Terms box are separate, but that both are required, and that the form cannot be used to send only an enquiry.
The newsletter form in the footer is not yet in service: submitting it only displays a message, and it does not send the address to C-POLAR or Mailchimp.

All questionsWhat does the Privacy Policy say about stopping marketing email?
Marketing email can be stopped at any time by writing to [email protected].
The Privacy Policy states that C-POLAR will remove the address from active marketing, and that it keeps only the information needed to record that choice and to prevent the address from being added again without a new request from that person.

All questionsDoes stopping marketing prevent a reply to an existing enquiry?
No. Stopping marketing does not prevent C-POLAR from answering an enquiry already sent.
The Privacy Policy states: “Stopping marketing does not prevent us from answering an enquiry that you sent.” It also states that contact submissions and related correspondence are kept until the enquiry and its follow-up are complete, and longer where they remain relevant to an ongoing business interaction, a legal duty or an unresolved claim.

All questionsDoes a general Site form create a duty of confidentiality?
Confidential material is not to be sent through a general form on this site.
The Terms of Use state that C-POLAR does not accept a duty of confidentiality for material sent through a general Site form unless a Separate Agreement covering that material is already in force. The contact form asks for first name, last name, work email, company and a message, and the Privacy Policy states that a submission is received through Mailchimp, an Intuit service, and that every successful submission adds the work email address to a C-POLAR mailing list. Drawings, specifications and other proprietary material are exchanged under a signed agreement, and an enquiry about putting one in place goes to [email protected].

All questionsHow does the Privacy Policy describe making a privacy request?
A privacy request is made by email to [email protected], stating that it is a privacy request.
The Privacy Policy states that the request should include the email address the person used with C-POLAR and enough information for the company to find the record. It states that C-POLAR verifies the person's identity when needed, that an authorized agent must provide proof of authority, and that verification information is used only to handle the request.

All questionsWhich rights does the Privacy Policy list, subject to where a visitor lives?
The Privacy Policy lists eight rights, and states that privacy law gives a person some or all of them depending on where that person lives.
They are: to ask whether C-POLAR holds personal information about that person; to access that information and receive a copy; to correct inaccurate information; to ask C-POLAR to delete information; to restrict or object to certain uses; to receive information that person provided in a portable form; to withdraw consent; and to appeal a refusal where the law provides that right.
The Privacy Policy states that C-POLAR does not treat a person differently for making a privacy request.

All questionsHow does the Privacy Policy describe retention of contact submissions?
Contact submissions and related correspondence are kept until the enquiry and its follow-up are complete.
The Privacy Policy states that they are kept longer when they remain relevant to an ongoing business interaction, a legal duty or an unresolved claim. It states that when a retention reason ends, C-POLAR deletes the information from systems it controls, that copies held by a service provider then follow that provider's deletion and backup process, and that a legal duty or an unresolved claim can require a record to be kept longer.

It states that a person can appeal by replying to the decision and stating that they want to appeal, and that they can also complain to the privacy regulator where they live.

All questionsCan I request delivery without branding on the outer packaging?
The Terms of Use state that the Site is informational only, that it does not sell products, accept orders, quote binding prices, or process payments, and that these Terms do not govern the sale, delivery, installation, return, warranty, or use of a finished product.
What is printed on an outer pack is set by the party that packs and ships the goods, and it is a term of that sale. The Terms of Use also state: “You may not use a C-POLAR name, logo, trademark, or product name without written permission.”

All questionsHow do I verify a request to change the bank account for payment?
A change of bank details is confirmed with the seller named on the order, using contact details already held from that seller, and never using details given in the message that asks for the change.

All questionsDoes the invoice name match the entity that accepted my order?
The entity that accepts an order and issues the invoice is the seller, and the terms it presented are what govern that sale.
The Terms of Use state that the Site is informational only, that it does not sell products, accept orders, quote binding prices, or process payments, and that these Terms do not govern the sale, delivery, installation, return, warranty, or use of a finished product. A warranty, manual, statement, order confirmation, or other document issued only by a manufacturer, seller, distributor, or other third party does not bind C-POLAR.

All questionsCan a purchase be made through an existing procurement framework or buying group?
A purchase is made with a manufacturing partner or with a separate online store, and the Terms of Use state that a link between the Site and a separate store does not bring the store under them, and that the store and every purchase from it are governed only by the terms presented there.
The Terms of Use also state that the Site does not include shop.cpolartechnologies.com, shopusa.cpolartechnologies.com, another online store that displays separate terms, or a C-POLAR page hosted on a third-party platform; those two stores are C-POLAR's own, and they carry their own terms. Whether a seller will trade through a framework or a buying group is that seller's decision, made on its own terms.
