Does the installation need a clear space for later filter removal?
The installation and the replacement both need the filter access to be reachable.
The label sets the installation in five steps: switch the system off at the thermostat or at the unit's disconnect, remove the used filter and discard it as directed, fit the filter into the track with the airflow arrow pointing toward the blower, check that it sits square with no gap at the frame, and close the access panel before switching the system back on. It states: “Air that passes around a filter is not treated by it.” and “Improper installation can reduce airflow or damage the equipment.” It also instructs: “Do not use where this filter would restrict airflow beyond the system's specification.” The label covers the filter; the commissioning record for the system, including airflow and pressure readings after the change, belongs to the operator of that system.
