What MERV rating and size do I need to buy for my home furnace, and does it come in standard filter sizes?
The size and rating of a NanoFlashing™ filter come from the partner who makes it, and the company publishes no single MERV rating or size for a home furnace.
Every commercial NanoFlashing™ product is made by a manufacturing partner, in their facility, in their format. The Air page names ReinFire™, a NanoFlashing™ Air Filter “made for homes and buildings facing wildfire smoke, fine particles, seasonal air-quality pressure, and everyday airborne particles through the year”, and it lists five ReinFire™ manufacturing and distribution partners: Aero Pro, AQ Filter, BGE Indoor Air Quality Solutions, Olympic International and VOLZ Filters. This site sells no products. The Terms of Use name two online stores, shop.cpolartechnologies.com and shopusa.cpolartechnologies.com; a price shown there and every purchase from them are governed only by the terms presented there. The Air page also states: “Government agencies tell people to use a MERV-13 filter, but that rating is measured on a clean, brand-new filter.” The Validation page states that NanoFlashing™ “maintains MERV 15A performance under ASHRAE testing”; the Validation page names LMS Technologies, Report 6847, for that rating, and a rating belongs to the construction that was tested. Does installing the filter require a certified or licensed installer, or can any HVAC technician or homeowner do it?
The label gives ordinary installation directions and states no requirement for a certified or licensed installer.
The NanoFlashing™ Air Filter label states: “Switch the system off at the thermostat or at the unit's disconnect before opening the filter access. Remove the used filter and discard it as directed under Storage and Disposal. Fit this filter into the filter track with the airflow arrow pointing toward the blower — that is, in the direction the air travels. Check that the filter sits square in the track with no gap at the frame.” It then directs: “Close the access panel and switch the system back on.” It also states: “Do not install a filter whose media is torn, crushed, wet or visibly damaged.”

Could the filter cause the dark dust marks (“ghosting”) on walls and ceilings near air vents that some electrostatic filters are known to cause?
The filter is passive. It draws no power, and it has no power supply, electrode, lamp or reservoir.
