Does the material change the mask's flammability classification?
The company publishes no fire or flammability result for a mask, an insert or any other wearable product.
The Validation page states: “NanoFlashing™ complies with UL 900, ULC-S111, DIN 53438 and EU RoHS.” The records for UL 900 and ULC-S111 are Intertek Building & Construction reports on filter articles, and the records for DIN 53438 are RST Rail System Testing Reports P60-22-0003 and P60-24-0297, under DIN 53438-3 on filter media. The records named on the Validation page include Intertek Building & Construction, Report 105175501SAT-001 on a panel filter, Report 104974202SAT-001 on a bag filter, Report 105169484SAT-001 on a fan coil filter, Report 106093268SAT-001 on a pleated filter and Report 106079483SAT-001 on a pocket filter. A reported result describes only what the identified test found.
A flammability classification for a finished mask is established by whoever makes and tests that mask.
