Is the claimed function intended for inhaled air, exhaled air or both?
A filter acts on the air that passes through it, and it does not reach a surface or a source.
NanoFlashing™ is passive. It generates no ozone, releases nothing, and adds nothing to what passes through. The company offers no respirator, mask or insert. What it states is the property and what it does in a filter: NanoFlashing™ attracts negatively charged particles through electrostatic attraction, the filter captures airborne particles mechanically and by electrostatic attraction, and the label for the NanoFlashing™ Air Filter states: “This filter treats the air that passes through it.” The Terms of Use state that, as of their effective date, the Water, Textiles, Food packaging, and Medical devices chapters describe Research Applications, and that they do not describe finished products currently available from C-POLAR for those uses.
