Could a strap replacement change the applicability of the finished-mask evidence?
The company publishes no finished-mask evidence, and it offers no respirator, mask or insert.
The Terms of Use state that, as of their effective date, the Water, Textiles, Food packaging, and Medical devices chapters describe Research Applications, and that they do not describe finished products currently available from C-POLAR for those uses. What the Textiles chapter publishes is the material: the NanoFlashing™ Textile has a permanent positive polarity, a fixed positive charge, and the fabric stays waterproof, breathable, strong and washable. A strap is part of a finished mask, and whether changing one affects that mask's evidence is decided by whoever holds that evidence.
The Terms of Use state: “A test of C-POLAR material, a component, or a prototype does not establish the performance of a finished product that incorporates it.” NanoFlashing™ is a technology; the name, rating and sale of a product that carries it are set by that product's maker and seller.
