A room air cleaner is a finished product of the manufacturer that makes it, and its controls, its power arrangement and its instructions are that maker's.

The reach, the grip force, the switch and the display of a unit are designed by the maker of that unit, and any accessibility requirement that applies to a residence is met by the equipment that residence chooses.

The filter itself carries its own directions, and the label directs that the system is switched off at the thermostat or at the unit's disconnect before the filter access is opened.
