Does housekeeping have a way to confirm that a guest has not removed the filter?

What identifies the filter is printed on the filter, and the record of who fitted it belongs to the organisation that ordered the work.

The NanoFlashing™ Air Filter label carries the product name, the description “Panel air filter for forced-air heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems”, the net contents, the nominal size, the net weight, the rated airflow, the maximum face velocity, and the producer's name and address. The label also instructs: “Do not run the system with no filter in the track.” Opening the filter access and reading what is printed on the filter is the check, and the label directs that the system is switched off at the thermostat or at the unit's disconnect before that access is opened.
