Can a hotel sell a room as allergy-friendly solely because this filter is present?
No: C-POLAR publishes no allergy claim, and nothing on the Site authorizes a hotel to make one for a room.
A claim on a product, on a listing or on stock already sold is the responsibility of the party that made it. What C-POLAR states about the technology is that NanoFlashing™ attracts and captures ultrafine particles, wildfire smoke and pollen. NanoFlashing™ attracts negatively charged particles through electrostatic attraction. The filter captures airborne particles mechanically and by electrostatic attraction. The Terms of Use state that a laboratory reduction in a virus, bacterium, fungus, particle, or other endpoint does not establish a clinical benefit, fewer infections, disease prevention or treatment, or improved health, and: “Do not use Site Content to select, design, manufacture, validate, or make claims for a finished product.” They also state that nothing on the Site authorizes anyone to market, resell, or describe a product as C-POLAR-enabled, and that written permission is required.
The label states that the filter treats the air that passes through it, and that it works alongside ventilation and cleaning, not in place of them.
