Can a room filter compensate for an ensuite bathroom's failed exhaust fan?

A filter acts on the air that passes through it, and it does not reach a surface or a source.

The label for the NanoFlashing™ Air Filter states: “This filter treats the air that passes through it.” and “It works alongside ventilation and cleaning, not in place of them.” The filter captures airborne particles mechanically and by electrostatic attraction. A filter removes nothing from a surface, and it does not exhaust air from a room.

A failed extract fan is repaired by the people who maintain that building.
