Can an installed filter be checked for leaks using the facility's established inspection system?
The label sets the steps for changing the filter, and the inspection of an installed bank is the facility's own.
The label instructs that the system is switched off at the thermostat or at the unit's disconnect before the filter access is opened, that the filter is fitted into the filter track with the airflow arrow pointing toward the blower, and that it sits square in the track with no gap at the frame. The label states: “Air that passes around a filter is not treated by it.”
C-POLAR publishes no leak-test method and no procedure for changing a filter while equipment runs. What a facility tests, and how it keeps critical equipment online during a change, is decided by that facility.
