Can every claimed local listing or certification be checked against the issuing authority's current record for the exact product and holder?

The two certificates the company names can each be checked against the issuer's own current record, by anyone.

The issuer's record is the authority on the current status of its own certificate, and both issuers publish one. OEKO-TEX publishes a public label check, in its own words: “Want to check if an OEKO-TEX® label is official? Simply enter the label number below.” The number to enter is 17.0.25812. Eurovent Certita Certification publishes a certified product directory of the products certified under its programmes, where Certificate No. 15.06.011 and the model it covers can be looked up. Certificate No. 15.06.011 covers a ten-pocket bag filter, not a flat panel filter; a rating belongs to the construction that was tested. The company names each certificate by its issuer and its number so that the check can be made at source. The other documents the company names are test reports rather than listings: LMS Technologies, Intertek and RST Rail System Testing reports are checked by reading the report itself or by asking the laboratory that issued it. The company does not keep a separate register of certificate status, and does not publish one.
