Would a translation of a news story change a qualified statement into an absolute one?

The Terms of Use state that if C-POLAR provides a translation, the English version controls to the extent the law allows. They state that each scientific or technical result must be read in light of its test conditions and qualifications, and that a reported result describes only what the identified test found.
What has to survive a translation is the mechanism and its limits. The filter is intended to destroy the viruses, bacteria and fungal spores it captures. It destroys them on direct contact with the positive electric charge, by physical means, and only while the organism is captured by the positive electric charge. A translated sentence that drops the mechanism, or drops the conditions a result was measured under, does not state the company's position.
