Can layers stick together after long storage under pressure?

C-POLAR publishes no result for long storage under pressure, and the label directs: “Do not stack loads on the media.”

The label for the NanoFlashing™ Air Filter sets the operating conditions: dry air only, at or below the rated airflow and maximum face velocity, with replacement at a stated pressure drop or after a stated interval, whichever comes first. The label instructs: “Use in dry air only. Do not use in ducts carrying liquid water, steam or oil mist, or anywhere the media may become wet.” and “Do not install a filter whose media is torn, crushed, wet or visibly damaged.” For storage it instructs that the filter is kept flat or on edge in the original packaging, indoors and dry, away from direct sunlight and moisture. The conditions tested, listed on the Validation page, are heavy dust loaded, fast air flow, used filter for 1 year, after 60 washes, after 2 years of storage, and after 60C for 64 days. The company publishes no temperature or humidity range for a particular installation; those limits are set by the partner who makes the finished filter.
