Does changing pleat spacing alter the usable filtration area?
Pleat spacing and usable media area are part of the finished filter's construction, which the company does not specify.
The company publishes no pleat geometry, media area, frame specification or deflection data. NanoFlashing™ is a permanent positive polarity engineered into filter media itself. It is a physical property of the filter. Every commercial NanoFlashing™ product is made by a manufacturing partner, in their facility, in their format, and the manufacturer and seller of a finished product are responsible for its design, manufacture, labeling, instructions, claims, sale, and warranty. The label for the NanoFlashing™ Air Filter instructs: “Do not cut, fold, trim, bend, puncture or alter the filter or its frame.” and “Do not install a filter whose media is torn, crushed, wet or visibly damaged.” The polarity is a property of the media, so it is present over whatever media area the finished filter carries.
