What documented checks are needed after installation to confirm fit and operation?

The label for the NanoFlashing™ Air Filter sets the checks for the filter itself: that it is fitted with the airflow arrow pointing toward the blower, and that it sits square in the track with no gap at the frame.

The label instructs that the system is switched off at the thermostat or at the unit's disconnect before the filter access is opened, that the used filter is removed and discarded as directed under Storage and Disposal, and that the access panel is closed and the system switched back on. It states: “Air that passes around a filter is not treated by it.” and “Improper installation can reduce airflow or damage the equipment.” It also instructs: “Do not use where this filter would restrict airflow beyond the system's specification.” The label covers the filter; the commissioning record for the system, including airflow and pressure readings after the change, belongs to the operator of that system.
