Would use in a commercial kitchen require protection from grease loading?

The label sets the conditions the filter is used in, and it excludes wet air and oil mist in its own words.

The label for the NanoFlashing™ Air Filter states: “Operating conditions. Use in dry air only. Do not use in ducts carrying liquid water, steam or oil mist, or anywhere the media may become wet.” It also instructs: “Do not use where this filter would restrict airflow beyond the system's specification,” and: “Do not install a filter whose media is torn, crushed, wet or visibly damaged.” It sets where the filter is used: forced-air heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems in homes, businesses and institutions that take a panel filter of the stated size and run at or below the rated airflow and maximum face velocity.

Where a duty falls outside those conditions, the equipment for it is chosen under the requirement that governs that duty, by the people responsible for the work.
