Does the treatment change how the fabric feels on sensitive skin?

The company publishes no measurement of how the fabric feels, and hand feel is not among the four properties the Textile page names.

For skin contact, the Validation page states that NanoFlashing™ is certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, Product Class II, the class for products in direct contact with skin, and names OEKO-TEX Service GmbH, Certificate 17.0.25812. Product Safety Labs, Study 65323, completed 16 February 2024, reported that the material it tested “is classified as non-irritating to the skin”, and Study 65324, completed 31 January 2024, reported that the material it tested “is not considered to be a contact sensitizer”; each result describes that sample under that study’s conditions.

The page states: “The NanoFlashing™ Textile has a permanent positive polarity, a fixed positive charge,” and that the fabric stays waterproof, breathable, strong and washable. Those four are what the company publishes about what the fabric retains. It publishes no measurement of drape, stretch recovery, wicking, warmth, colour fastness, whiteness, hand feel, fabric noise or tear strength, and it does not carry a result across to a property a test did not cover.

The Terms of Use state that, as of their effective date, the Textiles chapter describes a Research Application, and that it does not describe a finished product currently available from C-POLAR for that use. They also state: “A test of a material, component, sample, or prototype does not establish the safety, efficacy, suitability, durability, compatibility, manufacturability, scalability, or performance of a finished product.” A materials review is arranged in writing, through [email protected] on the Contact page.
