Is the material supposed to feel electrically charged when touched?
The company has not published anything about a sensation from touching the filter.
The polarity is a positive electric charge at rest. It is measured as surface charge density, in nanocoulombs per square centimetre. The filter is passive. It draws no power, and it has no power supply, electrode, lamp or reservoir. A used filter is handled with care for a different reason. The label states: “A used filter holds the dust and microorganisms it has taken out of the air. Wear gloves, and eye protection and a dust mask where dust is heavy.”
