Can contact with oils mask the surface without removing the treatment?

The NanoFlashing™ Air Filter label directs use in dry air only, and directs that the filter not be used in ducts carrying liquid water, steam or oil mist, or anywhere the media may become wet. It also directs storage flat or on edge in the original packaging, indoors and dry, away from direct sunlight and moisture, and that a filter whose media is torn, crushed, wet or visibly damaged not be installed.
The company publishes no result for media that has been in contact with an oil.
