Is the filter suitable for seasonal boats stored in a damp enclosure?

The label directs that the filter is used in dry air only, and that a filter whose media is wet or visibly damaged is not installed.

The label states the operating conditions: “Use in dry air only. Do not use in ducts carrying liquid water, steam or oil mist, or anywhere the media may become wet.” It instructs: “Do not install a filter whose media is torn, crushed, wet or visibly damaged.” and “Do not cut, fold, trim, bend, puncture or alter the filter or its frame.” The label sets how a new filter is stored: flat or on edge in its original packaging, indoors and dry, away from direct sunlight and moisture, with no loads stacked on the media. A damp enclosure is not a dry store, and the company publishes no result for a filter kept in one.
