What performance and maintenance assumptions remain valid when power, servicing or supply continuity is uncertain?

Continuity of supply is a matter for the agreement between the parties to it, and C-POLAR publishes no continuity plan.

What does not depend on power or servicing is the property and the printed direction. NanoFlashing™ is a permanent positive polarity engineered into filter media itself. It is a physical property of the filter. The filter is passive. It draws no power, and it has no power supply, electrode, lamp or reservoir, so it needs no electricity of its own; in a forced-air system the system's own fan moves the air through it. The label sets the replacement point on the filter: at the pressure drop printed on the product, or at the interval printed on it, whichever comes first, and it directs that the system is not run with no filter in the track.

Where the next filter comes from is a matter for the seller of that filter and for the agreement with it; this site sells no products.

What evidence supports use of long-stored stock, and how can expired or damaged stock be identified?

The conditions the material was tested under are named on the Validation page, and heat and storage are among them.

The conditions listed on the Validation page are heavy dust loaded, fast air flow, used filter for 1 year, after 60 washes, after 2 years of storage, and after 60C for 64 days. Hong Kong Metropolitan University, Test Report IRITS202112110001, 11 December 2021, tested a spunlace nonwoven against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa with reference to BS EN ISO 20743:2013 (transfer method), after accelerated ageing to ASTM F1980-16 for 64 days at 60 °C, and reported: “No significant deterioration of antimicrobial activity was observed after accelerated aging”. It is a contact test on fabric, not an air-filter or airborne result. A condition named in a test is not a shelf life, and the company publishes no expiry date for the filter. The label sets how a new filter is stored: flat or on edge in its original packaging, indoors and dry, away from direct sunlight and moisture, with no loads stacked on the media. It instructs: “Do not install a filter whose media is torn, crushed, wet or visibly damaged.” and “Do not cut, fold, trim, bend, puncture or alter the filter or its frame.” A filter that does not meet those directions when it is taken out of its packaging is not installed.

What evidence supports the passenger-facing wording proposed for signs or announcements in the vehicle?

Wording for a product in a market is agreed in writing, and nothing on this site authorises a claim.

The Terms of Use state: “Nothing on the Site authorizes anyone to manufacture, integrate, market, resell, or describe a product as C-POLAR-enabled. Nothing authorizes anyone to describe itself as a C-POLAR partner. Written permission is required.” They also state: “Do not use Site Content to select, design, manufacture, validate, or make claims for a finished product.” and that no one may state or imply that C-POLAR has approved, endorsed, licensed, partnered with, or verified a person, an organization or a product when it has not.

A sign or an announcement made to passengers is a claim by whoever makes it, and it is that party's responsibility.

Does a recirculation-only car mode change the expected benefit?

A filter acts on the air that passes through it, and it does not reach a surface or a source.

The label for the NanoFlashing™ Air Filter states: “This filter treats the air that passes through it.” and “It works alongside ventilation and cleaning, not in place of them.” The filter captures airborne particles mechanically and by electrostatic attraction. What air reaches a filter, and where that air came from, is decided by the system the filter sits in.

Can salt spray entering a vessel's ventilation system affect the treated layer?

The label directs that the filter is used in dry air only, and that a filter whose media is wet or visibly damaged is not installed.

The label states the operating conditions: “Use in dry air only. Do not use in ducts carrying liquid water, steam or oil mist, or anywhere the media may become wet.” It instructs: “Do not install a filter whose media is torn, crushed, wet or visibly damaged.” and “Do not cut, fold, trim, bend, puncture or alter the filter or its frame.” Salt spray entering a ventilation system is a wet condition, and it is not among the conditions listed on the Validation page, which are heavy dust loaded, fast air flow, used filter for 1 year, after 60 washes, after 2 years of storage, and after 60C for 64 days; the company does not carry a result across to a condition a test did not cover.

Can a cruise ship service the filter without crossing food-service or passenger areas?

The label sets the steps for changing the filter, and the inspection of an installed bank is the facility's own.

The label sets the steps: switch the system off at the thermostat or at the unit's disconnect before opening the filter access; remove the used filter and discard it as directed; put the used filter straight into a bag or waste container and do not shake it out or blow it clean; wear gloves, and eye protection and a dust mask where dust is heavy. Where the equipment sits on a vessel, and what route a crew takes to reach it, is decided by the operator of that vessel.

Can a recreational vehicle use the filter while operating on a limited battery supply?

The filter has no electrical connection, and its charge is a property at rest.

The filter is passive. It draws no power, and it has no power supply, electrode, lamp or reservoir. It generates no ozone and emits nothing into the air passing through it. In a forced-air system, the system’s own fan moves air through the filter, so the filter draws no electricity; its resistance adds to the pressure the fan works against.

Does a mobile command vehicle need a different service plan during prolonged deployment?

The label states when to replace it: at the pressure drop or the replacement interval printed on it, whichever comes first.

That point does not change with where the equipment is or how long a deployment lasts: the label directs replacement when the pressure drop reaches the value printed on the product, or at the interval printed on it, whichever comes first, and instructs that the system is not run with no filter in the track. Can a temporary shelter's fabric walls undermine assumptions used to size a room cleaner?

A room air cleaner is a finished product of the manufacturer that makes it, and its controls, its power arrangement and its instructions are that maker's.

Every commercial NanoFlashing™ product is made by a manufacturing partner, in their facility, in their format. The manufacturer and seller of a finished product are responsible for its design, manufacture, labeling, instructions, claims, sale, and warranty, except for a responsibility C-POLAR expressly accepts in a Separate Agreement. How a unit is sized for a space, and what assumptions that sizing rests on, are set by the maker of that unit. The label for the filter states: “This filter treats the air that passes through it.” and “Results in a building depend on the system, the airflow, and how well the filter fits its track.” A filter acts on the air that passes through it, and it does not reach a surface or a source.

The company publishes no room-sizing method and no result for a temporary structure.

Can a portable unit be transported repeatedly without resetting its service history?

A room air cleaner is a finished product of the manufacturer that makes it, and its controls, its power arrangement and its instructions are that maker's.

A service history is kept by the unit and by the people who run it, and C-POLAR publishes no service record and no reset rule. The NanoFlashing™ Air Filter has no electronics in it, and it records nothing. The label states when to replace it: at the pressure drop or the replacement interval printed on it, whichever comes first.
