Who decides whether transport-damaged goods may be reworked or must be rejected?
What counts as a defect is set by the specification in the agreement that governs the delivery, and C-POLAR publishes no defect classification.
The Terms of Use state that the Site does not sell products or accept orders, and that these Terms do not govern the sale, delivery, installation, return, warranty, or use of a finished product. Whether damaged goods are reworked, credited or rejected is decided between the buyer and the seller under the agreement that governs that delivery. The label for the filter sets one thing plainly: “Do not install a filter whose media is torn, crushed, wet or visibly damaged.” and “Do not cut, fold, trim, bend, puncture or alter the filter or its frame.”
