Can warehouse staff identify packages that have been wetted in transit?

The label directs that the filter is used in dry air only, and that a filter whose media is wet or visibly damaged is not installed.

The NanoFlashing™ Air Filter label instructs: “Store flat or on edge in the original packaging, indoors and dry, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Do not stack loads on the media.” The label states the operating conditions: “Use in dry air only. Do not use in ducts carrying liquid water, steam or oil mist, or anywhere the media may become wet.” It also instructs: “Do not install a filter whose media is torn, crushed, wet or visibly damaged.” and “Do not cut, fold, trim, bend, puncture or alter the filter or its frame.” A package that has been wetted is judged by what the filter inside it looks like when it is opened, against those directions.

The company publishes no wetting indicator and no acceptance test for a carton.
