Does the investigation include storage and transport deviations before testing?
The company publishes no investigation procedure, and the Terms of Use state that storage may change a result.
A test of C-POLAR material, a component, or a prototype does not establish the performance of a finished product that incorporates it. Construction, processing, storage, wear, cleaning, other components, and actual use may change the result. The company's label states the storage directions for the filter: “Store flat or on edge in the original packaging, indoors and dry, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Do not stack loads on the media.” It also directs: “Do not install a filter whose media is torn, crushed, wet or visibly damaged.” The Validation page also lists storage and heat among the conditions tested: after 2 years of storage, and after 60C for 64 days.
