Does a Canadian electrical approval cover the assembled purifier rather than only a component?
An electrical approval covers the assembly it names; this site publishes none, and the filter itself draws no power.
Passive describes the filter, not the system around it. The filter is passive. It draws no power, and it has no power supply, electrode, lamp or reservoir. An air cleaner built around the filter is an appliance. C-POLAR markets a materials technology, and the manufacturer and seller of a finished product are responsible for its design, manufacture, labeling, instructions, claims, sale, and warranty. An approval that names a component does not cover the assembled unit, and the party that assembles it holds the evidence for it. NanoFlashing™ is a technology; the name, rating and sale of a product that carries it are set by that product's maker and seller.
