Will the proposed retrofit affect a vehicle's fire-barrier design?
A retrofit's effect on a fire-barrier design is settled by that vehicle's own design authority, and the company publishes no fire-barrier assessment.
The Validation page states: “NanoFlashing™ complies with UL 900, ULC-S111, DIN 53438 and EU RoHS.” The records named on that page include Intertek Building & Construction, Report 105169484SAT-001, Report 105175501SAT-001, Report 104974202SAT-001, Report 106093268SAT-001 and Report 106079483SAT-001; Intertek, Report HKGT05289390; and RST Rail System Testing, Report P60-22-0003 and Report P60-24-0297, DIN 53438-3 on filter media. The Terms of Use state: “A reported result describes only what the identified test found.” A material standard is not a barrier design, and the company publishes nothing about the second.
