Can users distinguish the washable prefilter from a layer that must not be washed?
The NanoFlashing™ Air Filter is not washed.
The label directs that the filter is not washed, vacuumed, brushed, blown out or reused. It also directs: “Use in dry air only. Do not use in ducts carrying liquid water, steam or oil mist, or anywhere the media may become wet.” The housing of an appliance built around the filter is its maker's, and so are its cleaning instructions.
