Is there a safe route for customers whose local waste authority will not accept the product?

What a waste facility accepts, and on what conditions, is decided by that facility under the rules that apply to it.

The label states: “Dispose of the used filter and its packaging as ordinary household or commercial waste under Federal, State and local requirements. Do not burn. Do not reuse the filter.” The label is the company's instruction for the article it covers, and it points to Federal, State and local requirements rather than to one rule everywhere.

C-POLAR publishes no agreement with a recycler, no producer-responsibility registration and no site-specific assessment.
