Can I put a used filter in my compost, or will it harm the good bacteria there?
The label directs that a used filter is disposed of as ordinary household or commercial waste, and the company publishes no result on compost or soil organisms.
The NanoFlashing™ Air Filter label states: “Dispose of the used filter and its packaging as ordinary household or commercial waste under Federal, State and local requirements. Do not burn. Do not reuse the filter.” It also states: “A used filter holds the dust and microorganisms it has taken out of the air.”
