Will the pollen the filter catches blow back out when the furnace turns on?
A used NanoFlashing™ filter holds the particles it has captured.
The filter captures airborne particles mechanically and by electrostatic attraction. The Wildfire Smoke page states that the filter “captures and retains” wildfire smoke, and the Ultrafine Particles page states that it “captures and holds” ultrafine particles. The NanoFlashing™ Air Filter label states: “A used filter holds the dust and microorganisms it has taken out of the air.” The company publishes no measurement of captured material coming back off a NanoFlashing™ filter into the air. The Validation page reports measurements in four buildings where NanoFlashing™ was installed; at a financial landmark in London, particulates, bioaerosols and energy were all measured lower after the air handling unit filters were changed to NanoFlashing™. Each is one building over one period, and it is not a result for another building.
