Can a filter address a continuing source of dampness or mould growth in a wall?

A filter acts on the air that passes through it, and it does not reach a surface or a source.

The label states: “This filter treats the air that passes through it.” It also states: “It works alongside ventilation and cleaning, not in place of them.” The label states: “Results in a building depend on the system, the airflow, and how well the filter fits its track.” The filter captures airborne particles mechanically and by electrostatic attraction.
