Can a sensor's readings be checked against an independent instrument?
A reading from a unit's own sensor is checked against an instrument by the people who run that unit, and C-POLAR publishes no method for doing it.
What the company measures on its own article is the charge. The polarity is a positive electric charge at rest. It is measured as surface charge density, in nanocoulombs per square centimetre. The charge is measured on every production run, and the measurement can be repeated on any filter, upon request.
The field observations on the Validation page were measured with MicronView's 405 nm Bio-fluorescent Air Monitoring System, which distinguishes biological particles from inert dust in real time, and they are reported separately from laboratory testing.
